Hi all,
well I downloaded mirc speech last night and went on the fudge network serfver. It's neat the way jaws reads incoming messages, but the problem is if I hit the tab key or the down arrow keys, jaws starts automatically reading almost from the beginning and tries to reread the entire conversation. This also happened when I went to the query window to get into a private chat fudge invited me to. When this happens, I have to jiggle the control key up and down to make jaws shut up with long old messages so it can start reading incoming new ones. What can I do about that/ thanks,

MIrcSpeech is still 'round? I use talkingirc; it can be found on Freedom Chat's Site. It is a set of MIrc extensions to make the program very blind-friendly.

hi dave, well I think he's going to fix it so it doesn't read everything over and over, and mystic rain, I will post in a topic when ever I wish,l if you don't like it, don't read it, and it's not exactly the same question, so again, if you don't like it,, don'g read
Actually, MIrc speech and MIrc with speech are two different products. The former is still hosted by myself at www.interfree.ca/programs/mircspeech, and the latter is a mod created by the fudge of thefudge.net. The former is completely unsupported and undeveloped; it remains hosted mostly because I have no good reason to delete it. I'm pretty sure Fudge is still actively working on, and supporting, mIRC with speech.
As to the jaws reading problem, if you press alt -, and select maximize (to bring up the child window) and then press alt space and select maximize there as well, the problem doesn't completely go away but it does improve somewhat.

I don't know how he's going with it, since i very seldom go on the fudge network anymore, unless i have to ask a mirc with speeech related question. I updated the list of network servers from the mirc homepage, and it didn't put his server back, but i have 332 network servers now. I went in to options and where it says add server, i typed the servfer name, but it didn't add it to the list. oh well it doesn't matter anyway, because i don't go there hardly ever anymore. thanks for th esuggestion.
